December 18:  Happy Holidays!!  Hard to believe we're nearing the end of this year already.  I wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season.  Thanks to all of you for your support in 2009.  2010 is shaping up to be an even busier year - looking forward to seeing you at fairs & other venues throughout the year.

Here are some updates on where you can find my work.

JEWELRY:
I have a new venue for my jewelry!  For the next four months you can find my beaded jewelry in Allure Salon located at 4000 W. 106th Street, Carmel, IN in the strip mall behind Marsh.  Their hours are Sun/Mon closed, Tues-Thurs 10am-8p, Fri 9am-5pm and Saturdays 9am-3pm.  A big thanks to Becky Hill of the Zionsville Arts Initiative for arranging this.  One of my fellow CCA artists, Judy Ireland, fabric artist, will be joining me at Allure in January with her unique fabric jewelry.

You can also find my jewelry at Where Beauty Begins in Broad Ripple and at the Harrison Center in the VSA enRoute gallery on the first friday of every month.  The Harrison Center houses many artist studios and it's own gallery which are all open to the public during the first friday gallery walks.

I am also hoping to finally open an ETSY shop for my jewelry sales sometime in January.  ETSY is a fabulous website that sells original handmade objects of every kind.  More info forthcoming at the beginning of the year!

PAINTINGS:

You can always find my work at CCA Co-op Gallery in Zionsville, IN.  If you have not been to CCA's new location on Main Street now is a great time to visit.  The gallery looks fabulous and we have several new artists.  There are many items right now in every price range that are perfect for gift giving.  With over 30 artists representing several genres you can be certain to find something for everyone on your gift list!

My angel paintings are now on display in the gathering room of the First Meridian Heights Presbyterian Church at 4701 Central Avenue.  It is a beautiful old church and I am honored to have my artwork displayed there.  The paintings will be on display until the middle of January.

I have one painting, Crimson Duet, in the Hoosier Salon Gallery in Broad Ripple for their annual Holiday Show/Sale.  The painting is in great company with some of Indiana's best artists.  Definitely a show worth seeing.

Check back in 2010 for more updates and info on where to find me!

Happy New Year!

September 4:  I have some updates on upcoming events.  Hope to see some of you at one of these events.

September 12, 9am-5pm I will be participating in Penrod Arts Fair on the grounds of the Indianapolis Museum of Art.  You can find me in the Artist's "blue" area.  If you haven't been, it is definitely an event to attend.  There will be live music and dance, lots of great food and many artist's booths to peruse.

September 19-October 11, I will have two paintings in the Midwest National Abstract Art Exhibition V.  I am very proud to be one of 30 professional artists juried into this annual exhibit representing 9 different states.  The exhibit will be shown at the Garfield Park Arts Center, 2432 Conservatory Drive (center of the park near the Pagoda).  Opening night reception and awards ceremony will be Saturday evening Sept 19, from 5pm - 8pm.

October 1-31st, I will have my first solo show in the feature gallery at CCA Gallery in Zionsville, IN.  The title of the show is "Just Wingin' It" and will showcase some of my multi-media work as well as paintings featuring some of my "winged" creations - artist books, jewelry and paintings featuring angels & insects will be included.  The title is a sort of "tongue in cheek" reference to my fondness of all winged creatures and also my feeling that sometimes I am just "wingin' it" when it comes to my art career!  I never know what each day will bring - but that's what makes it fun!

January 21, 2009:  I can't believe we've started a new year!  And what a year already.  I'm hopeful that President Obama will be able to pull us out of this economic depression - I truly believe he's the man to do it, but he has quite a job ahead of him.

A big thank you to all who came out to art fairs and galleries last year - support your local artists!  I have been accepted into my first art fair this year - Orchard in Bloom to be held May 1, 2 & 3 at Holliday Park in Indianapolis.  This is the 19th year for this garden/art show which benefits outdoor education programs for the children of Indianapolis.  For more info, visit their website at:  www.orchardinbloom.org
